Well, I really like the idea of doing EPP by hand, but this book offers a quicker way to accomplish the same result. You would not use both techniques in the same quilt, however. Pick one or the other: hand work or machine work.It's a slim large format paperback. I wish it had a few more pattern ideas. Also a more modern slant would be nice. These are rather traditional quilts. The Modern Quilt movement takes advantage of many traditional techniques but places them in a fresher context. So, a more modern take would be nice.
